In Ecclesiastes 4:9 I read, “Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together.” (NCV)
God has special work for me to do. That’s why I’m alive. He made me in order to do good works that he planned for me before I was even born. Ephesians 2:10 says, “God made us to do good works” (NCV).
But God never meant for me to do good works by myself. He knows that would only lead to fatigue.
The Bible says, “Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together” (Ecclesiastes 4:9 NCV).
Often we think that people do their greatest work alone. For example, there’s a misconception that Mother Teresa served on the streets of Calcutta all by herself. But she actually had an army of sisters helping her.
I need others to help me to fulfill the work that God has for my life. By myself, I won’t be able to do a lot. But working with others, I can get more done.
By themselves, snowflakes are not very strong. But if enough snowflakes stick together, they can stop traffic! People are the same way. On my own, I may not be much. But together with others, I can make a greater difference, with each person doing what God made them to do.
Am I feeling exhausted? Do I have anyone helping me? If not, I’m missing out on one of the benefits of being connected to a church family. While I may attend a church, that doesn’t mean I’m connected to its people. To get connected, join a small group.
Community is God’s answer to fatigue.

Cooperating with others has advantages. Life is designed for companionship, not isolation, for intimacy, not loneliness. Some prefer isolation thinking they cannot trust anyone. We are not here on earth to serve ourselves, however, but to serve God and others. Don't isolate yourself and try to go it alone. Seek companions; be a team member.
