In review of Philippians 4:8 it says to “Think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected” (NCV).
What I put into my mind determines what comes out in my words and actions. Paul tells me to program my mind with thoughts that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise. If I find myself having problems with wrong and stressful thoughts, examine what I'm feeding my mind with via TV, the Internet, reading, conversations, movies, video games, etc. Replace any harmful or stressful input with wholesome material. Above all, read God's Word and pray. Ask God to help me focus my mind on what is good and pure.

To lower my stress, change what I think about. In this verse, God’s Word gives me eight tests for deciding if I should allow something into my mind. Ask, “Is it good? Is it worthy of praise? Is it true? Is it honorable? Is it right? Is it pure? Is it beautiful? Is it respected?"
When I think about things that are good, worthy of praise, true, honorable, right, pure, beautiful, and respected, I’ll be picturing God.
Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (NLT).
