In review of Malachi 3:6 it says, “I am the Lord, I do not change”
Bottom Line:
The Lord does not change
What this means to me:
God is all-powerful, who he is and what he does never changes.
Today’s passage comes from Malachi chapter 3 where Malachi is speaking about a call to repentance. Speaking on behalf of the Lord, he says, “I am the Lord, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. Ever since the days of your ancestors, you have scorned my decrees and failed to obey them. Now return to me, and I will return to you.”
God cannot change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His plans stand firm. He is unwavering in His principles and does not adapt to situational ethics. It doesn’t matter what I or anyone else thinks, God does not change. There are no exceptions to this.
The great thing about this, is what He did for me yesterday, He can do for me again today. This means that I cannot trust God in one area of my life and then not trust Him in another area. What He has does in the past, He can and will do again. I am to have faith in God and know that whatever I ask in His name, he shall do.
