In review of Hebrews 10:24 it says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
Bottom Line:
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
What this means to me:
I should consider how I can spur, motivate and encourage others to show love and do good things. Hebrews 10:24 reminds me, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (NIV). Real friends will bring out the best in each other. They encourage and motivate one another to reach their goals. Friends who will cheer me on are a critical part of my success. Marathon runners know there comes a point when you start getting a pain in my side that makes me want to give up. But if I have other people running with me, I can find the strength to continue to the finish line. The same is true in my journey to a healthier me. The only way I’ll achieve my God-given health goals is to have others involved in your life. Romans 12:5 reminds me, “In Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” When it comes to encouraging others, the first thing I need to do is get with others and take an interest in what’s going on in their lives. I can give them perspective and encourage them in the right things and pray for their needs.
