In summary of Ephesians 2:10 it says, “God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.”
Bottom line:
God made us who we are. In Christ, God gave us the new start we needed. Now we fulfill and do the good works He had planned for us all along to do.
What This Means to me:
God has uniquely crafted me and for a purpose, I am His masterpiece. As I follow Christ, God will do good works through me that he had planned a long time ago. All the things I do now can be an act of worship including my job/work. God designed me with specific talents, gifts and interests that He intends to use for His glory. So, I’m custom-made, there is nobody like me in the whole world. The gifts, the abilities, the talents, even the interests I have were genetically encoded into me by God. God has made me with a specific mission in mind, and wants me to use all if the gifts he's given in my work. Ultimately my work is part of God's plan for my life and that is why, as I work, I can do in in an act of worship for God.
